HISTORY
This Gang has had its ups and downs, power shifts, struggles, and brawls for the past 3 years. At first they didn't have defined leadership and their members were rowdy and ruthless, but after some time they obtained a purpose and organized to form the group they are today. 4th Street formed when the stray population in North Bay hit a peak and small groups of dogs would sweep the streets at every hour in the day, causing havoc and terrifying the people that walked the avenues. They would boldly snatch food from peoples' hands, chase down street vendors and barge into restaurants just for food. At one point, police in Riot gear had to round up a number of dogs that swarmed the food court of a mall and were running wild through shopping centers of surrounding streets.
Desperate for order, a couple of dogs rounded up the more well-mannered strays they could find and formed the 4th Street Gang as a resource for starving dogs, a safe haven for those who needed it, and most of all as a deterrent from those strays who found it funny to overrun the city streets. They became the model dogs of the city who kept order amongst the strays and dialed back the chaos that was overtaking North Bay at the time. However they continuously had power shifts from that time onward, with dogs who wanted to use the gang to take the city back, run humans out, or just have a good old time causing trouble. The gang has struggled with maintaining leadership of one dog for more than a few months, and these days they have a reputation for being untrustworthy because nobody knows their intentions any more. One thing remains the same, however: They are there for safety in numbers and to help their fellow dogs survive.
IDEOLOGY
It is difficult to pinpoint 4th Street's true principals, ethics, and morals, with their head honcho changing so often. However, every dog who has run 4th Street has had a common goal, and that would be to help the other dogs of North Bay and provide them with food, shelter, and safety. It has always been the objective of this group to help their own kind survive in the literal dog-eat-dog world of the city. Much of the time, an ethical and fair-minded dog has run 4th Street, and the ideals that more frequently dominate the Gang are those of allegiance, service, compassion, and teamwork. Beware and don't get too comfortable, though; someone is always out to turn this Gang upside-down.
