The world turned their back on each other, letting each and every country shut each other out. The assembled occasionally as the United Nations, bickering about their countries problems. Arguing about war and oil shortages and what not. There was no unanimity in the world. No peace. Just war. There was an abundance of the homeless, of starving people in many countries. The poor were beaten down by the rich. The citizens were not lead, but dictated by the Government who swore that they had the interest of the people in mind. There was no humanity. No kindness. Simply selfishness and corruption.
And then man kind faced it's endangerment, almost coming to extinction all together.
The zombie apocalypse wasn't thought of as threat. It was merely a story told by novelists and children. A game concept to sell the newest Black Ops video game. A marketing technique for television shows. When "Patient Zero" was infected the Governments tried to hush it up, but they had no idea that it had already spread. As the infected began to travel, looking at the west and richer parts of the world for a cure the virus began to spread, infecting more and more. When the corpses began reanimating no one knew what to do!
Now, there is a chance for recreating the human race, one step at a time. There is opportunity to create new governments. To live up to the promises you make to your people. To form a new UN where people accomplish goals instead of bicker and argue for days. To recreate humanity. But be careful. With the constant threat of the living dead always around the corner you never know if your best friend is already infected.
You also have the option of trying to destroy it, throwing yourself at the ones you have fought so hard to defend against. To become one of the Zeke, to rot, to reek, to eat all of the human meat possible. To become feared, dreaded, hunted.
The choice is yours.
